Ehsaas Bahimat Buzurg Program 2023-24 Registration Now
The Government of Punjab has launched the Ehsaas Bahimat Buzurg Program for the year 2023-24, with registration starting from October 8, 2021. This new program aims to provide financial assistance to old-age senior citizens through Social Pension, with a stipend of Rs. 2000 per month. Beneficiaries with a poverty score below 20 will be eligible to receive this support under the Bahimat Buzurg Program.
The program is spearheaded by the Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA) and has an allocated budget of Rs. 2 billion in the initial phase. It is expected to benefit 125,000 people in Punjab who are not already receiving other social assistance programs. Additionally, eligible individuals can also avail themselves of the Ehsaas Kafalat Program, which provides Rs. 14,000 in assistance.
The Chief Minister of Punjab and Chairperson of the Ehsaas Punjab Program, Sardar Usman Buzdar, inaugurated the Bahimat Buzurg Program and announced that the initial amount of Rs. 2 billion would be distributed to 150,000 senior citizens through Bahimat Buzurg Program Cards.

The Bahimat Buzurg Program for the year 2023-24 has specific criteria for online registration. Only older individuals who are living below the poverty line of 18, 16, and 30 will be considered eligible for this program, with only one person per family being eligible. The program, initiated by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, aims to provide a monthly stipend of Rs. 2,000 to deserving senior citizens aged 65 years and above across Punjab.
In the program, priority will be given to women. In cases where a woman is absent, her elderly husband will be entitled to receive the stipend. This prioritization of women is aimed at ensuring gender equality and addressing the vulnerabilities faced by older women in society.
